Nano Computing & ICT Solutions engineered and installed an end-to-end IP surveillance system and dedicated structured Cat6 cabling network for the GM Furniture corporate head office and production facility in Alem Gena. The installation delivers complete coverage of production floors, high-value timber storage, loading docks, and executive offices with mobile remote monitoring.
The Operational Challenge
GM Furniture required comprehensive surveillance across a sprawling industrial compound containing noisy wood-machining equipment, high ceiling heights, heavy airborne sawdust, and frequent voltage fluctuations along the regional industrial power grid. Standard consumer cameras would quickly degrade under dust exposure, and electrical noise from industrial machinery risked corrupting network data packets.
Our Engineering Solution
Our engineering team deployed IP67 dust-sealed metal turret and bullet cameras equipped with motorized varifocal lenses. All network cabling was routed inside grounded galvanized steel EMT conduits to isolate signals from motor interference. We installed managed PoE switches with isolated surveillance VLANs and anchored the system with a 3kVA online double-conversion UPS to ensure continuous recording during power cuts.
